Octave Maze คือผลงาน kinetic installation โดย Wit Pimkanchanapong ที่ทำงานผ่านระบบกลไกถ่วงน้ำหนัก (counterweight) ซึ่งถูกควบคุมด้วยเสียง โดยสัญญาณเสียงจะกระตุ้นให้เกิดการเคลื่อนไหวทางกายภาพภายในโครงสร้าง เปลี่ยนเสียงให้กลายเป็นการเคลื่อนไหวและประสบการณ์เชิงพื้นที่
ผลงานนี้จัดแสดงอยู่ภายในอาคารประวัติศาสตร์ของ Asvin Pictures และเปิดโอกาสให้ศิลปินได้ทดลองสำรวจความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง เสียง การแสดง และพื้นที่ ทั้งในระดับของตัวงานและบริบทของสถานที่
สำหรับ Octave Maze 2026 ระบบได้รับการพัฒนาเพิ่มเติมเพื่อขยายขอบเขตของการสร้างสรรค์ จากเดิมที่ควบคุมการเคลื่อนไหวได้เพียง 8 ตำแหน่ง เพิ่มเป็น 256 ตำแหน่ง ทำให้สามารถสร้างความละเอียดและความซับซ้อนของการเคลื่อนไหวได้มากยิ่งขึ้น
ตัวระบบรองรับการสื่อสารทั้ง MIDI และ DMX และสามารถแยกการควบคุมออกจากสัญญาณเสียงได้ ทำให้ศิลปินสามารถออกแบบความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง การแสดง การเคลื่อนไหว และพื้นที่ ได้อย่างอิสระมากขึ้น

Octave Maze Live คือโปรแกรมการแสดงที่เปิดโอกาสให้ศิลปินเข้ามาทำงานร่วมกับ Octave Maze ที่เป็นทั้ง เครื่องมือและพื้นที่ในการแสดง
โปรแกรมนี้เปิดโอกาสในการทดลองความเป็นไปได้ใหม่ของการแสดงสด ผ่านการเชื่อมโยงระหว่าง
เสียง การแสดง แสง เทคโนโลยี ความทรงจำ และพื้นที่ทางกายภาพ
แต่ละการแสดงจะเป็นการทดลองรูปแบบเฉพาะตัว ที่เกิดขึ้นจากการปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างศิลปิน ผู้ชม และโครงสร้างของงาน

เปิดรับสมัครสำหรับ

- DJ set พร้อมการเล่าเรื่อง
- Sound art
- การแสดงเชิงทดลอง หรือการด้นสด
- Performance art
- Lecture-performance หรือรูปแบบผสมผสาน
- งานด้าน creative coding หรือ performance ที่ใช้เทคโนโลยี
- พื้นที่แสดงภายใน Octave Maze
- ระบบเสียงวินเทจพื้นฐาน
- เปียโนที่มีสัญญาณ MIDI
- การประชาสัมพันธ์ผ่านช่องทางของ Asvin
- รายได้จากบัตรเข้าชมแบ่ง 50/50 ระหว่างศิลปินและผู้จัด

รายละเอียดการรับสมัคร
1. ข้อเสนอโครงการ (ไม่เกิน 800 คำ)
- ชื่อผลงาน
- แนวคิดและรายละเอียดของผลงาน
- ความเชื่อมโยงกับ Octave Maze หรือ อัศวินภาพยนตร์
- ระยะเวลา รูปแบบ และความถี่ของการแสดง (เช่น แสดงครั้งเดียว แสดงซ้ำ การแสดงแบบเน้นระยะเวลา ฯลฯ)
- แฟ้มผลงานที่ผ่านมา (Portfolio)(ไม่เกิน 10 รูป และ/หรือ ลิงก์วิดีโอ)
- ภาพร่าง แผนผัง หรือข้อมูลอ้างอิงของผลงานที่เสนอ (ถ้ามี)
3. ข้อมูลศิลปิน
- ประวัติ / แนวทางการทำงาน (ไม่เกิน 300 คำ)
- ประวัติย่อ (CV) (ไม่เกิน 1 หน้า)
- ข้อมูลติดต่อ และเว็บไซต์ (ถ้ามี)
- ผู้สมัครต้องกรอกข้อมูลให้ครบถ้วนในทุกช่องของแบบฟอร์มออนไลน์
- หลังจากกรอกแบบฟอร์มแล้ว ผู้สมัครต้องอัปโหลด รายละเอียดตามข้อ 1, 2 และ3 เป็นไฟล์ PDF เพียงไฟล์เดียว (ขนาดไม่เกิน 20 MB, รูปแบบ A4) โดยสามารถใช้ ภาษาไทยหรือภาษาอังกฤษ
การพิจารณาข้อเสนอ
การคัดเลือกจะดำเนินการโดยวิชญ์ พิมพ์กาญจนพงศ์ และทีมงานจากพื้นที่ศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัยอัศวิน

Octave Maze is a kinetic installation by Wit Pimkanchanapong, driven by a counterweight mechanical system programmed by sound. Audio signals activate physical movements within the structure, transforming sound into motion and spatial experience.
Located within the historic building of Asvin Pictures, the work invites artists to explore how sound, performance, and space can interact with both the mechanics of the installation and its surrounding environment.
For Octave Maze 2026, the system has been further developed to expand its creative potential. The movement system has evolved from 8 to 256 controllable positions, allowing for more nuanced and complex interactions. The system supports both MIDI and DMX, and can be controlled independently from sound input, enabling more direct relationships between performance, movement, and space.
Octave Maze Live is a performance program that invites artists to activate the installation through live sessions.
The program explores how sound, performance, light, technology, memory, and physical space can intersect and create new experiences. Each session becomes an experiment in how the installation can be used as both an instrument and a stage.
Open Call
We welcome applications from:
- Artists of all ages and nationalities
- Individuals, collectives, bands, or collaborative groups
Proposals may include (but are not limited to):
- Live music performance
- DJ sets with storytelling
- Sound art
- Experimental or improvisational performance
- Performance art
- Lecture-performance or hybrid formats
- Creative coding / programming-based performance
- Performance space within Octave Maze
- Basic vintage sound system
- Piano with MIDI signal
- Promotion through Asvin channels
- Ticket revenue shared 50/50 between artist and organizer
- Application Deadline: June 8, 2026
- Notification of Results: by June 19, 2026
- Performance Period (Saturdays): July 4 – October 10, 2026

Application Guidelines
1. Project Proposal (max. 800 words)
Please include:
- Project Title
- Concept and description of the proposed work
- Connection to Octave Maze and/or Asvin Pictures
- Proposed duration, format, and frequency (e.g. one-time performance, repeated sessions, durational work, etc.)
- Portfolio of past performances (up to 10 images and/or links to video documentation)
- Sketches, diagrams, or references for the proposed work (if applicable)
- Artist biography / practice (max. 300 words)
- CV (max. 1 page)
- Contact details and website (if available)
Applicants must complete all required fields in the online application form
After completing the form, applicants must upload one PDF file only (maximum 20 MB, A4 format) in English or Thai
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by Wit Pimkanchanapong and the team at Asvin Cultural and Contemporary Art Space.
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- The submitted project proposal
- The quality and relevance of past work
Incomplete applications or applications without portfolio materials will not be considered.
